There are two pockets. None of the bows are detachable. It's a polyester on the thin side, I recommend some caution when worn. It can be washed on delicate cycle with cold water, and dried on low heat/delicate cycle. Mine arrived with brown ink stains matching the same brown in the rest of the print, so there might be some quality control issues with this print.
