This is a black Victorian gothic bonnet handmade from my own pattern design. It is made of a black cotton fabric over a thick poly interfacing base with a black floral venice lace trim, a black double face satin ribbon bow embellishing the side, and black braid gimp trimmed around the entire brim. The underside is a gathered and hand sewn black cotton fabric with handmade black double face satin ribbon rosettes embellishing the underside. The piece fastens with a black double face satin ribbon that ties into a bow beneath the chin.
